The 12U Sharks boys team successfully defended their title in the AIEA SUMMER BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2009 this weekend. The 12U Boys swept their 12U Division proving that Offense wins games but the Defense wins Championships!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Honolulu Sharks U15 ELITE Team for taking the U16 Championship at the 4th Annual ARC-Honolulu Sharks Tournament.

The 15U SHARKS ELITE defeated The Arizona Magic's U16 Team for the Championship. The Arizona Magic are a perennial AAU West Coast Powerhouse Club that has produced players such as Jerryd Bayless (Portland Trailblazers) and Zane Johnson (UH and former U of Arizona player).

Mayor Mufi Hanemann's 2009 Girls Basketball Jamboree featured the Kahuku Girls versus the Honolulu Girls Sharks 12U in a challenging Championship game in this single elimination tournament. The Mayor understands the necessity to hold this event over the past 16 years to give girls opportunities in athletics and featured the most promising future champions in the State.
