2005 U14 ELITE SHARKS TAKE 3RD PLACE AT ARC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN LAS VEGAS
In 2005 the Sharks U14 ELITE team took 3rd place in the American Roundball Corporation's Las Vegas National Championships. The Sharks made 3 dramatic comebacks during the tournament -- The first coming back to win from 12 down against San Diego, California, the second coming back from 16 down to win against New Mexico, and the third coming back from 10 points with 5 minutes remaining to win in the 3rd place game against Team Inland from Riverside, CA. The Sharks were narrowly defeated that year by San Ramon, CA in the semi-final game by two points. Based on this teams success and the success of the 2006 U15 Elite team, the Sharks ELITE teams started entering the top NCAA Tournaments in 2007. Most of the members of the 2005 U14 ELITE team would go on to have excellent Varsity basketball careers.
